How long should an inspection take?
A home inspection by HomeWhiz on the average takes at least two hours two complete. However, this can change based upon the size and age of the home. Other factors such as additional inspections can increase the inspection time as well.
Do I have to be present at the inspection?
No, you don't have to be present at the inspection but we highly encourage you to be present. This is your time to learn about your home and ask any pertinent questions about your home. A HomeWhiz inspector will anxiously answer all of your questions.
Do you offer and warranties?
No, we don't but in most cases the seller or builder will offer you a comprehensive warranty as part of the real estate transaction. Buyer's also have the option to purchase their own warranty as well often for around $400 or it can be paid monthly.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, clients can pay on our website using PAYPAL just click the online payment link. If you don't have a PAYPAL account don't worry you still can enter your credit card information and still pay us.
Do you have to be licensed to do home inspections in DC,VA, or MD?
Yes and no, Maryland requires that home inspectors be licensed and all of The HomeWhiz inspectors are. At the time of this writing, DC has no licensing requirement. VA has only a voluntary certification for home inspectors.

The HomeWhiz Inspection Service inspection is a 400 point inspection that inspects the major systems of the home these include: heating/cooling systems, plumbing, electric, roofing, attic, foundation, mechanical, and grading.
How long does it take to get the report?
